DISA has been a full-service provider of innovative drug and alcohol testing solutions for over two decades.  Our drug and alcohol programs offer the convenience of Internet access for real-time test results and compliance reporting.  These services are managed through DISAWorks®, our proprietary online system.

DISAWorks is a consolidated system, designed through state of the art technology, offering a high-degree of program customization to serve the unique requirements of each individual employer.

U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and Corporate Programs

DISA offers expert program management for both DOT and corporate policies.  We provide several forms of substance abuse policies, including those for all Federally regulated agencies:

  • Federal Aviation Administration “FAA”
  • Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration “FMCSA”
  • Federal Railroad Administration “FRA”
  • Federal Transit Administration “FTA”
  • Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration “PHMSA

We also provide client-specific policies (non-DOT) which are fully customizable to address individual client needs and requirements.

We have an exceptional success rate developing, implementing, and administering complex drug and alcohol programs.  It is our practice to review and evaluate each client’s existing drug and alcohol testing policy.  Based on our findings, we make recommendations for any adjustments to those policies to ensure compliance with regulatory and/or company requirements.

Alternative Testing

DISA provides alternative drug screening methods, including hair and saliva testing (instant screening).

Policy Development & Assessment

DISA assists employers in new policy development or reviews exiting policies for needed improvements.  We also supply the official policies of all Federally regulated agencies.

Collection Site Selection & Management

Utilizing a database of over 8,000 certified collection facilities nationwide, DISA provides both onsite and offsite drug screen collections.

Laboratory Analysis

All DISA laboratory partners are approved by the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) and only use GC/MS for specimen analysis.  To ensure the most accurate analysis possible, all of our labs are dual-certified, (SAMHSA and CAP).

Random Pool Management

DISA offers complete random pool management.  This automated process is managed through our online system, DISAWorks®.  Random lists are produced from active employee rosters and downloaded into DISAWorks during account implementation.

Medical Review Officer (MRO)

DISA’s in-house MRO service is headed by Barry Sachs, D.O.—a certified AAMRO since 1996.  Our MRO staff is highly trained and experienced in the intricacies of medical review, with internal processes kept in strict compliance with DOT regulations.

Compliance Assistance

DISA has one of the most widely recognized compliance services in the industry where clients are afforded complete compliance support, including regulatory updates and audit assistance.

DISA provides support and audit assistance for NCMS, CSI, Veriforce, and DOT.  Reports and policies are provided in individual auditing agency formats.  NCMS approved policies are available online to all DISA clients and we provide NCMS approved statistical reports.
